Varieties for canning- and food processing industry

Group of pea varieties used by the food processing industry. Typically, they can reach higher yields but require a more intensive cultivation. Their important characteristic is the simultaneous flowering and ripening which is crucial for harvesting.

Garden varieties

The garden pea varieties have different properties to the intensive pea varieties. The protracted maturation is desirable in this group which allows multiple harvesting and relatively larger seed size. Small sized pea varieties cannot be found in this category.
